For over a decade, Ultra-S3 has been used as a cost-effective and efficient Hydrogen Sulfide removal system when combined with hydrogen peroxide or other oxidizers. The S3 H2S removal system eliminates the odor associated with H2S and reduces the costs associated with the corrosion caused by Hydrogen Sulfide.

Ultra-S3, when combined with an oxidizer, is able to substantially reduce the amount of H2S to safe levels in less time than just using the oxidizer alone.

The Ultra-S3 H2S removal system is used worldwide to treat Hydrogen Sulfide in waste water treatment facilities, waste water retention ponds, landfills, chemical plants, paper mills, food processing plants, and sewage lines.

Ultra-S3 H2S Removal System

Ultra-S3 is combined with an oxidant (typically hydrogen peroxide (H202)) in the waste stream or target area containing the hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) or other recalcitrant organic compounds.

The combination of Ultra-S3 with the oxidant produces hydroxyl radicals which break down the chemical bond of hydrogen sulfide. The Ultra-S3 oxidizing system breaks down these chemical bonds to non-detectable, safe levels much faster and more efficiently than just hydrogen peroxide alone.

Ultra-S3 splits the hydrogen peroxide molecule.


Ultra-S3 turns the hydrogen peroxide into hydroxyl radicals.


The hydroxy radicals neutralize the H2S.


The hydrogen atoms are removed from the H2S, leaving behind elemental sulfur.

Preparation for Delivery and Testing

  • Identify pH of the polluted water. (Ideal pH range is between 7.2-8.4.)
  • Identify flow rate (gallons per day).
  • Identify concentration of pollutant (ppm).
  • Identify desired concentration of pollutant after treatment (ppm). This number is typically 0 ppm.
